UAPLG’s HISTORY – Founded 2016

Back in my early years, I was frustrated with not being able to afford popular and expensive sneakers such as Jordan’s and designer pairs. Despite this, I had a strong interest in the sneaker and fashion industry, regularly visiting stores for new releases. To turn my passion into a career, I pursued a degree in fashion design and gained experience through internships at top sportswear brands, starting with Nike. I worked my way up in the industry, eventually becoming involved in supply chains and assembly. That’s how it all started.

GROUND WORK
As part of my work in the sportswear industry, I was deployed to low cost labor countries like Vietnam and China. During my time there, I discovered that many of the most popular and exclusive sneakers were not actually limited in availability as they were thought to be. The truth was that many of these sneakers were being left behind due to factory oversights or inspection failures.

REALIZATION
Upon further investigation, I found that these big brands such as Nike and Adidas actually outsourced production to multiple factories and produced more sneakers than they needed for their releases. This was done to prevent a single factory from having access to the full supply chain and to have extra pairs on hand in case of failed inspections.Once the final quality control was passed and the brands reached their quota, these extra sneakers were left unused.

It is surprising to note that many big sportswear brands release limited quantities of popular and exclusive items into the market, creating scarcity and driving up prices. The rest of the materials produced, sometimes in the hundreds or thousands, are often left unused and intended to be discarded. This is a common practice in the industry, as seen in the history of the Supreme brand’s rise in popularity.

IMPLEMENTATION
The abundance of unused and leftover materials from sportswear production has long been a challenge for many major brands. Through extensive research and networking, I was able to gather these unused materials from factories in Asia, where many brands outsourced their production due to low labor costs. With persistence and effort, I was eventually able to gather all the unassembled parts and create my own company, UAPLG, offering “Unauthorized Authentic” products. Our website only releases items after they have been officially released in retail stores, and we source our materials from the same suppliers as major brands.

We are proud to have built a strong network of manufacturers who produce sneakers and streetwear for top brands like Adidas, Nike, Designers, and more. Our unique advantage is that we don’t solely rely on these brands to provide us with the products. Instead, we source high-quality materials directly from factories and have our own team assemble them in our warehouse. Our secret to success is hiring talented workers from big brand factories and ensuring precision and attention to detail in our own assembly process. Owning these highly limited and iconic streetwear pieces is now easier and more accessible.

Craftsmanship – Each product is meticulously crafted to ensure that it closely resembles the original, from the materials used to the design details. We specialise in details with our own production warehouse in Hong Kong following synchronised technology, first hand channels & access to raw materials. At UAPLG, we work with important ground-level employees that bring invaluable expertise to the table, with direct experience in production lines. Our vision is to make expensive fashion affordable for anyone to wear and feel their best.
